Cookie Policy

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We also use similar technologies (such as local storage for theme preference) where noted below.
Essential cookies
Session cookie (tutorme_session) — httpOnly, secure
cookie that keeps you signed in to the parent, student, tutor, or admin portal. Required for
authenticated use; cannot be disabled while using your account.
Theme preference
We store light/dark theme choice in localStorage (not a cookie) so the
site remembers your appearance preference. This is not used for tracking or advertising.
Security (Cloudflare Turnstile)
On login, sign-up, booking, contact, and certain tutor actions we use Cloudflare Turnstile to reduce bots. Cloudflare may set cookies or use browser storage as part of that service. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Payment (Stripe)
When you complete Stripe Checkout or the Customer Portal, Stripe may set cookies or storage on their domain to process payments securely.
Analytics & advertising
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) in the current version of TutorMe. If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and provide appropriate notice or consent where required.
Managing cookies
You can clear cookies in your browser settings. Clearing the session cookie will sign you out. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies; blocking all cookies may prevent login.
See our Privacy Policy for more on how we process personal data.
